The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, and if you reside in Springhill, it’s the ideal place to experience padel.
The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, featuring four panoramic indoor courts constructed specifically for padel, a bar and restaurant for a bite and a drink after your session, and a welcoming club atmosphere that makes your visit feel like much beyond just booking a court for an hour.
Never gripped a padel racket? Don’t worry about it. Honestly, most of the people who come in are in the very same position! And for those of you already in the game and after better courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve created here.

Padel 101
A racket sport blending tennis and squash, played on an enclosed court around three-quarters the size of a standard tennis court.
Glass walls and metal fencing enclose the court, and when the ball comes off those walls mid-rally, it produces angles and shots that tennis simply can’t replicate.
The serve is underarm, the format is always doubles, and the games are rapid but remarkably easy to follow. If you’ve heard padel described as the best of tennis and squash in a single sport, that’s a remarkably fair assessment.
Scoring matches tennis (15, 30, 40, game), but there’s a fun twist: at deuce, padel uses a golden point instead of advantage! One rally settles it, which keeps games flowing and adds a real shot of pressure that makes the tight games genuinely gripping.
Padel uses a solid racket instead of a strung one, so you can skip the same technique that makes tennis so punishing for new players.
Half an hour on court and most folk have the basics figured out. That short learning curve has helped padel becoming one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players playing across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. It’s the fastest-growing racket sport in the UK, and padel in Glasgow has been out in front in Scotland!

Our Padel Courts Close to Springhill
We’ve got four indoor panoramic padel courts right here at The Court, all housed inside our 33,000 sq ft building on Glasgow’s south side!
The courts are full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage enclosures, constructed to the same grade you’d expect at professional tournaments. Fully indoors. Play rain or shine.
Anyone from Springhill appreciates that wall-to-wall sunshine isn’t ever a given, so year-round indoor play makes a real difference. Outdoor courts do the job when the sun’s out. But that’s a gamble you don’t need to take with us.
Our opening hours run from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, giving you lots of flexibility to fit a match around work and family life. The building itself was specifically designed to offer the finest padel experience.
Courts are well-lit, fully ventilated, and laid out to give you room around the cage.
Built for padel. Not crammed into leftover warehouse or leisure centre space.

Padel at The Court: Do You Need Membership?
To be clear, you don’t need to be a member to book a court at The Court.
All you do is grab a court through Playtomic and show up for your match. Court hire runs from £28 to £40 per hour depending on the time slot, and that covers the court for four players, so it works out at less than a tenner each for an hour of play.
If you expect you’ll be playing frequently, membership makes it cheaper and much easier!

With the Play membership at £40 per month, you’ll get 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events.
For those looking to have a game multiple times a week, the Unlimited membership at £120 per month includes unlimited court access, 14-day priority booking, 10% off food and drink, and invitations to members-only events.

Starting Padel in Springhill
Most people who type “padel Springhill” into Google have never actually played.
If that’s your position, here’s the thing that matters: padel is one of the easiest racket sports to start having fun with from your very first session.
The serve is underarm, which means there’s no overhead serving mechanic to figure out before you can even get a rally started. The court is smaller than a tennis court too, so you’re not chasing into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play instead of sailing off into the distance.

All of that means you get more time actually connecting with the ball and less time running after it!
You don’t need to haul any kit either. Rackets and balls are in stock to rent. Show up in sports shoes and sportswear and you’ll be on court within moments.
Simply jump online, grab a time, and round up three pals along (padel is a doubles game, so you need four players). If the thought of looking like a complete beginner is holding you back, bin that worry today.
Padel’s built around having a fantastic time. Most folk are laughing and into it within their first few rallies.
Glass walls throw up unexpected bounces. They catch everybody out, even regulars who’ve been at it for ages. For anyone after a place to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the first time you walk onto the court, The Court is that venue.

Padel Coaching and Social Sessions in Springhill
A lot of people want a proper grounding to padel rather than just muddling it out as they go, and that’s precisely what our expert coaches run with sessions for different ability levels. Beginner sessions cover the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the fundamentals of the game.
It’s a much faster way to start properly getting the most from your games, because understanding where to position yourself and when to approach the net makes a huge difference in padel.
For players who’ve got the basics covered and are looking to develop their game further, there are sessions focused on more advanced shots.
The bandeja, a controlled overhead that keeps you at the net, and the vibora, a more aggressive version with spin. Those two separate casual players from folk who truly understand the game. We run social sessions too, where you can show up on your own and get matched with other players.

It’s one of the best ways to connect with folk and get regular games going without having to organise four players every single time! A good number of our members from Springhill first came to a social session on their own and now happily have a game two or three times a week with friends they met on court.
More Than Just Padel Courts
Here’s where The Court really distances itself from other padel spaces near Springhill.
We’re not just a shed with courts inside. The club’s got a fully serviced restaurant and bar, so you can eat and drink before or after your session without having to go anywhere else.

It turns an hour of padel into a whole night out, and that’s exactly how we built it!
There’s a Pilates studio on site alongside the courts. Padel delivers the cardio and agility side, while Pilates develops the core strength and flexibility that enable you perform better on court and recover sooner.

A few of our members combine both in the one visit. There’s a pro shop too, so when you get hooked (and it tends to happen) you can choose your own racket without needing to order one online and hope it feels right!

Our staff can walk you through exactly what works for your ability and play style!
Private events are also part of what we offer at The Court. Team building. Birthdays. A fresh night out with mates. Padel’s simple to put together for groups: straightforward rules, snappy matches.
With the bar and restaurant under the same roof, you’ve got the full evening wrapped up in one place.
A Proper Padel Community in Glasgow’s Southside
One thing folk pick up on pretty quickly about The Court is that it truly doesn’t feel like a corporate gym or a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place!
A true padel community has developed here naturally, driven by the players who come in week in week out, the social sessions that bring new faces in, and the restaurant and bar that give everyone a excuse to hang around after the last point.
Veteran players play alongside newcomers who only gripped a racket last month, and that mix is precisely the energy we set out to create from day one.
We run a regular league for members who fancy a dose of structure and good-natured competition, and we host tournaments throughout the year that attract players from across Glasgow and beyond!
Winning is part of it, but it’s far from the whole picture.
Padel is a social sport at its core, and some of the finest nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is full with people who came for a match and stayed for the dinner.
If you’re after a padel club in Glasgow that comes across like somewhere you truly belong, come and see what the community’s like for yourself!
We’d bet you’ll want to sign up.
Padel Compared to Other Sports in Springhill
If you’re coming from tennis, the number one adjustment is the walls.
In padel, the ball staying in play off the glass transforms your entire approach about how you approach shot selection!
You can’t just smash winners into the corners like you would on a tennis court, because your opponent can play the ball off the back wall.
It values patience and placement over raw power, which is why a lot of tennis players find padel a welcome change but surprisingly tricky at first!
Squash players often find the transition a touch more natural, because walls are already a standard part of their game.
The key differences are that you’re hitting across a net as opposed to into the same wall, the court is open above you as opposed to closed off on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than off a squash court wall!
The good news for squash players is that the adaptation is generally fast, especially the volleying at the net.
For anyone who’ve never played a racket sport at all, padel is truthfully the best sport to start with.
It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (always doubles), and less physically demanding than five-a-side football, but you still get a genuine workout!
Somewhere between 400 and 700 calories are used up in an hour of padel depending on how hard you’re going, and unlike running on concrete, your knees end up unscathed.

The Growing Padel Scene in Springhill
Springhill’s padel scene has come a long way in a relatively short time.
Just a few years ago, there was practically nowhere to get on court!
Some of spots run padel as a bolt-on to a golf range or gym chain, but The Court is different: we’re a dedicated padel club, plain and simple.
Courts. Coaching programme. Restaurant and bar. Every element here was designed around racket sports.
If you’ve sampled padel somewhere else in Springhill and want a club that takes the sport properly while still keeping it a laugh and open, we’d be delighted to have you.
