The Court is Glasgow’s premier padel club, and if you live in Paisley, it’s the ideal place to take up padel.
The Court is Glasgow’s very own padel club, and it’s got four panoramic indoor courts, a restaurant and bar for a bite and a drink after your session, and a genuine club vibe that beats just rocking up and reserving a court.
A lot of the folk who walk through our doors have never held a padel racket, and that’s completely fine. Most of our newcomers haven’t touched one. And if you’re already playing and in search of better courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve created.

Padel 101
Take tennis, throw in a bit of squash, and put it on an enclosed court around three-quarters the size of a typical tennis court, and you’ve got padel.
The court is bordered by glass walls and metal fencing, and the ball can come off those walls mid-rally, which produces angles and shots you’d never see in tennis.
You serve underarm, it’s always played as doubles, and the matches are fast-paced but unexpectedly easy to follow. Ever heard padel described as the best of tennis and squash combined? That’s genuinely a remarkably spot-on summary!
Scoring works the same as tennis (15, 30, 40, game), with one major difference: at deuce, padel uses a golden point in place of advantage. One rally resolves the whole game, and that keeps matches ticking over and makes those tense games seriously gripping!
The racket’s solid rather than strung, which means you don’t need the same precision that makes tennis so difficult for new players!
Give it half an hour on court and most people have the basics sorted. This short learning curve is a big part of why padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million padel players across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. Across the UK, padel is the fastest-growing racket sport on record, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that growth north of the border.

Our Padel Courts Near Paisley
Four indoor panoramic padel courts. All inside our 33,000 sq ft facility on Glasgow’s south side.
Each court is full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage enclosures, all constructed to the same specifications used at professional tournaments. Being fully indoors means you can get a game in without worrying about the forecast.
Paisley’s not exactly famous for sunny skies, so being able to have a game twelve months a year makes a real difference. Sure, outdoor courts across the city are great when the weather plays ball, but why roll the dice when you don’t have to?
We’re open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, so there’s enough flexibility to fit a session in around your routine. Every aspect of the building was carefully set up to create the best possible padel experience.
The lighting is right, the ventilation is proper, and there’s real space around each cage.
We wanted to build somewhere that felt proper for padel, not wedge a few courts into whatever area was left in a warehouse or leisure centre.

Beginning Padel in Paisley
Most people who type “padel Paisley” into Google have never actually played.
If that’s you, here’s the brilliant news: padel is one of the most accessible racket sports to get into from the off.
The serve is underarm, which means there’s no overhead serving motion to master before you can even get a rally started. A smaller court means less dashing into back corners, and the glass walls work as boundaries that keep the ball in play rather than sailing off into the distance.

Put it all together and you get more time actually playing the ball and way less time chasing after it.
And here’s another perk: you don’t need to bring any gear. Padel rackets and balls are in stock to pick up. Turn up in trainers and sportswear and you’ll be on court within no time.
Simply go online, grab a time, and round up three pals (padel is a doubles game, so you’ll require four players). If you’re worried about coming across like a complete beginner, don’t be.
Padel’s designed around having a fantastic time. Most people are laughing and getting competitive within their first few sessions.
Those glass walls create bounces that no one can completely predict, and they catch all players out, from first-timers to players who’ve been on court for ages. Want a place to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth from the start? This is it.

Padel Coaching and Social Sessions in Paisley
If you’d rather have a proper introduction to padel instead of just muddling it out as you go, our qualified coaches run sessions for all ability levels. Starting from scratch, you’ll be walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), along with court positioning and the basics.
Quicker route to enjoying your games. Learning where to position yourself and when to move to the net changes your whole experience in padel.
Got the basics down? Sessions on more complex shots will move your game to the next level.
Two shots in particular separate casual players from those who really grasp padel: the bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin). If you don’t have a group of four available, our social sessions let you come along on your own and get put together with nearby players.

It’s one of the easiest ways to meet people and get regular matches going without having to pull together a group of four every time. Plenty of Paisley members started precisely that way. Rocked up alone, met friends, and now play two or three times a week.
The Full Club Experience
This is where The Court feels different from other padel facilities near Paisley.
This isn’t a unit with courts squeezed in. The club has a fully serviced restaurant and bar, so you can grab food and drinks before or after your session without having to travel somewhere else.

The vision was to turn an hour of padel into a proper evening out, and that’s precisely how we planned the club.
And alongside the courts there’s the Pilates studio, right here on site. Padel is fantastic for cardio and agility, while Pilates develops the core {strength} and flexibility that allow you play better on court and bounce back sooner.

Some members pair both in the a single visit. Solid pairing. And then there’s the pro shop, waiting for when you get hooked (which almost always does happen), so you can pick up your own racket without gambling on an online order and hoping it feels right.

The team will talk you through what suits your ability and play style.
Private events are another side of what we run at The Court. Team building. Birthdays. A alternative night out with mates. Padel’s dead easy to put together for groups: easy rules, short games.
Factor in the bar and restaurant to that, and you’ve got the entire evening sorted in one location.
Padel With a Community Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
The Court doesn’t feel like a corporate gym. It’s not a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place at all.
There’s a genuine padel community here, and it’s formed naturally from those who come in week after week, the social sessions that bring new faces together, and the truth that the bar and restaurant give everyone a reason to linger after the last point.
Seasoned players rub shoulders with players who began last month. That’s the vibe we wanted from day one.
We run a regular league for members who like a bit of structure and friendly competition, and we host tournaments throughout the year that bring together players from across Glasgow and beyond!
But truthfully, it’s not purely about winning!
Some of the most memorable nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score, the restaurant is buzzing with folk who came for a session and stayed for the food, and padel is doing what it does best: drawing everyone together.
On the hunt for a padel club in Glasgow that seems like somewhere you want to be? Come and see the community for yourself.
We believe you’ll want to stick around, seriously!
Padel or Other Sports in Paisley?
Coming from tennis? The main change is without doubt the walls!
In padel, the ball remaining in play off the glass alters absolutely everything about how you think about shot selection!
That thundering shot into the corner that wins you a point in tennis? In padel, your opponent just retrieves it off the back wall and the rally goes on.
Patience and placement over raw power. Tennis players find that a breath of fresh air but remarkably tricky at first.
For squash players, the changeover to padel is a touch more natural, because you’re already at ease with walls being part of the game.
The big differences are that you’re hitting across a net instead of into the same wall, the court is open above you rather than boxed in on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than off a squash court wall!
The great news for squash players is that the adaptation is typically smooth, especially the volleying at the net.
Never played a racket sport? Padel is honestly the best place to kick off with.
It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (because it’s always doubles), and less physically gruelling than five-a-side football while still giving you a real workout.
An hour of padel uses up somewhere between 400 to 700 calories depending on effort level, and it doesn’t destroy your knees the way running on concrete does.

Paisley’s Padel Scene is Growing
The padel scene in Paisley has come a remarkably long way in a surprisingly short period.
A few years ago? Almost nowhere to play.
The Court separates itself because it’s a dedicated padel club, not a afterthought to a golf range or a gym chain.
Every element about this place was created around racket sports, from the courts to the coaching programme to the bar and restaurant.
If you’ve played padel somewhere else in Paisley and want a club that takes the sport to heart while still keeping things enjoyable and warm, we’d really love to have you!
