Padel New Stevenston

Living in New Stevenston and looking to play padel? The Court is the ideal club for you!

Four panoramic indoor courts. A restaurant and bar. A real club atmosphere. The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, and it’s set up to offer far beyond just booking a court for an hour.

Not held a padel racket before? That’s totally fine! The truth is, most of the people who walk through our doors haven’t touched a racket either. Already play? Want better courts and a proper club? Come check out what we’ve created.

Underhand Padel Tennis Serve

What’s Padel About?

A racket sport fusing tennis and squash, played on an enclosed court roughly three-quarters the size of a regular tennis court.

Glass walls and metal fencing enclose the court, and when the ball bounces off those walls mid-rally, it produces angles and shots that tennis simply can’t match.

You serve underarm, it’s always played as doubles, and the matches are rapid but remarkably simple to follow. If a mate’s told you it’s the best of tennis and squash in one sport, they’re bang on.

Scoring copies tennis at 15, 30, 40, game, but padel throws in a twist at deuce: a single golden point replaces advantage. One rally. Game over. It keeps things moving and makes close games genuinely tense.

Solid racket, not strung. So you don’t need the technique that makes tennis so punishing for beginners.

Give it half an hour on court and most folk have the basics down. This quick learning curve is a big part of why padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million padel players across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. Across the UK, padel is the fastest-growing racket sport going, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that growth north of the border.

Our Padel Courts Near New Stevenston

At The Court, you’ll find four indoor panoramic padel courts, all housed inside our 33,000 sq ft venue on Glasgow’s south side.

Full-sized courts. 20m x 10m. Glass back walls, metal cage enclosures. Same specifications as professional tournaments. Because we’re fully indoors, you can be on court rain or shine.

Living in New Stevenston, you understand the weather isn’t always on your side, so being able to play padel year-round here makes a proper difference. Outdoor courts are fine when the sun’s out. But that’s a chance you don’t need to take at The Court.

We’re open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, so there’s plenty of flexibility to fit a game around your week. Fitted from scratch for the ideal padel experience.

Courts are well-lit, properly ventilated, and positioned to give you plenty of room around the cage.

We wanted to create somewhere that felt right for padel, not stuff a few courts into whatever area was left in a warehouse or leisure centre.

New to Padel in New Stevenston?

If you’ve just Googled “padel New Stevenston,” there’s a good chance you’ve never actually played!

That’s you? Brilliant news. Padel is one of the simplest racket sports to begin enjoying from the off.

You serve underarm, so there’s no complicated overhead serving motion to master before you can get a rally started. The court is smaller than a tennis court too, so you’re not sprinting into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play instead of shooting off into the distance.

More playing. Less running. That’s padel.

No gear needed. Padel rackets and balls are in stock to pick up at the club, so all you need to have is trainers and gym gear and you’ll be on court within minutes.

Just get online, pick a time, and grab three friends (padel is a doubles sport, so you’ll require four players). Worried about feeling out of place? Don’t be.

Within your first few games, you’ll be laughing and fully hooked, because that’s what the whole padel experience is built around: having a really fantastic time.

The glass walls generate unexpected bounces that catch absolutely everybody out, even people who’ve been playing for weeks! If you’re after a venue to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the first time you step on the court, this is it.

Padel Coaching and Social Sessions in New Stevenston

Some players prefer a proper intro to padel rather than just working it out as they go, and that’s exactly what our skilled coaches run with sessions for every ability levels. Beginner sessions include the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the fundamentals of the game.

It’s a quicker route to actually enjoying your games, because knowing where to stand and when to push up to the net makes a huge difference in padel.

Once the basics are nailed and you’re hungry to move your game further, more technical sessions are ready for you.

The bandeja (a controlled overhead shot keeping you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive spin version) are two key shots that distinguish casual players from those who really understand the game! Social sessions are running too. Show up on your own and get paired with nearby players.

The Court Team

It’s one of the best ways to connect with folk and get regular sessions going without having to pull together four players every single time! Loads of our members from New Stevenston kicked off by showing up to a social session on their own and now get on court two or three times a week with players they met on court.

Not Just Padel Courts

This is almost very likely where The Court feels most different from other padel clubs near New Stevenston.

The Court isn’t just a box with courts in it. The club has a fully serviced restaurant and bar, so you can eat and drink either side of your match without needing to go somewhere else.

Chatting During Pickleball Game

It turns an hour of padel into a full night out, and that’s exactly how we planned it.

We’ve also got a Pilates studio on site. Padel builds the cardio and agility side, while Pilates works the core strength and flexibility that enable you move better on court and bounce back faster.

Some members do both in the a single visit. Smart move. Pro shop on site. Get hooked (it tends to happen) and you can choose your own racket without the gamble of ordering online.

The team in the pro shop can walk you on what suits your level and playing style.

Private events are another part of what we do. Whether it’s a team-building event, a birthday, or just something new for a night out with colleagues, padel is easy to set up around a group because the rules are straightforward and the rallies are short.

Add the bar and restaurant to that, and you’ve got the entire evening sorted in one venue.

A Genuine Padel Community in Glasgow’s Southside

One thing visitors sense fairly fast about The Court is that it doesn’t feel like a corporate gym or a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place.

The padel community at The Court has grown naturally, shaped by the folk who get on court regularly, the social sessions that keep bringing new faces together, and the restaurant and bar that give everyone a reason to stick around long after the last point.

Experienced players mix with folk who started last month. That’s the atmosphere we aimed for from day one.

Regular league for members who want structure and healthy competition. Tournaments throughout the year pulling players from across Glasgow and beyond.

But it’s not all about winning.

Padel’s a social sport first and foremost, and some of the finest nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is full with players who came for a game and stayed for the dinner.

If you’re looking for a padel club in Glasgow that feels like somewhere you really fit in, come and check out the community for yourself.

Padel or Other Sports in New Stevenston?

If you’ve got a tennis background, the largest adjustment is the walls.

When that ball ricochets off the glass and stays in play, it shifts the whole game about how you think about shot selection.

You can’t just hit winners into the corners the way you would on a tennis court, because your opponent can return the ball off the back wall.

It rewards patience and placement over raw power, which is why a lot of tennis players find padel refreshing but surprisingly tricky at first!

Coming from squash, the move is a touch more natural because you’re already used to walls being part of the game.

The primary differences to know about are that you’re hitting across a net rather than into the same wall, the court is open above you rather than boxed in on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than it does off a squash court wall.

Squash players tend to adapt quickly though, most of all to the volleying at the net.

No racket sport training at all? Truthfully, padel is the best place to start.

It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (because it’s always doubles), and less physically punishing than five-a-side football while still giving you a solid workout.

An hour of padel burns somewhere between 400 and 700 calories depending on how hard you’re pushing, and it doesn’t wreck your knees the way running on concrete does.

The Growing Padel Community in New Stevenston

New Stevenston’s padel scene has come a remarkably long way in a surprisingly short time.

A few years ago? Practically nowhere to play.

The Court is different because it’s a dedicated padel club, not a afterthought to a golf range or a gym chain.

Everything about this place was created around racket sports, from the courts to the coaching programme to the restaurant and bar.

Perhaps you’ve already tried padel somewhere else in New Stevenston and you’re ready for a club that takes the sport properly without losing the enjoyable and welcoming vibe. If so, we’d be delighted to have you.
