If you are based in Moorpark and you’re on the hunt for somewhere top-notch to play padel, The Court is just the ticket.
The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, with four panoramic indoor courts built entirely for the sport, a restaurant and bar where you can have food and a drink after your match, and a real club atmosphere that makes the whole visit feel like well past just reserving a court for an hour.
Never touched a padel racket? No stress at all. You’ll be in very good company, because most of the people who come through our doors haven’t either. If you’ve been playing for a while and you’re looking for upgraded courts and a real club to call home, come and see what we’ve built at The Court.

A Quick Guide to Padel
Padel is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, and it’s played on an enclosed court that’s about three-quarters the size of a regular tennis court.
Glass walls and metal fencing enclose the court, and the ball can bounce off those walls during a rally, which opens up angles and shots that simply don’t appear in tennis.
Underarm serve. Always doubles. Rapid matches that are straightforward to follow. Best of tennis and squash rolled into one? That’s a spot-on summary.
Scoring’s the same as tennis (15, 30, 40, game), but there’s one big difference: at deuce, padel uses a golden point instead of advantage. One deciding rally and the game is won, which keeps things moving and adds a real shot of pressure that makes those close games really gripping.
The racket’s solid instead of strung, which means you don’t need the same precision that makes tennis so unforgiving for beginners!
You’ll probably get the feel of the basics within your first half hour of play. That short learning curve? It’s a massive reason why padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025! It’s the fastest-growing racket sport in the UK too, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that movement in Scotland.

Padel Courts for Moorpark Residents
We keep four indoor panoramic padel courts at The Court, all housed inside our 33,000 sq ft facility on Glasgow’s south side.
Each court is full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage surrounds, all constructed to the same standards used at professional tournaments. Being fully indoors means you can be on court whatever the weather is doing.
Moorpark and wall-to-wall sunshine don’t always go hand in hand. Year-round access matters. There are outdoor courts around the city that are decent when the weather holds, but coming here means you don’t need to take that risk.
From 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, there’s bags of room in the diary to fit a session around your life. Every detail of the space was purposely set up to create the finest padel experience.
You’ll find the courts are well-lit, thoroughly ventilated, and thoughtfully positioned to give you real space around the cage.
We could’ve squeezed a couple of courts into a warehouse or tagged them onto a leisure centre, but that’s not what we set out to do. We wanted to design somewhere that felt right for padel.

Playing Padel at The Court Without Membership
Here’s one thing worth knowing: you don’t need to be a member to play at The Court.
All you have to do is grab a court through Playtomic and turn up for a game. Court hire runs from £28 to £40 per hour depending on the time slot, and that covers the court for four players, so it works out at less than a tenner each for an hour of play.
Playing frequently? Membership makes it more affordable and more straightforward.

The Play membership costs £40 per month and gives you 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events.
For people who want to have a game multiple times a week, the Unlimited membership at £120 per month gets you unlimited court access with 14-day priority booking, 10% off food and drink, and invitations to special events.
How to Book a Padel Court on Playtomic
The Playtomic app or website is where you book, and it’s the same platform padel clubs use throughout Europe.
Grab a court. Select a time. Pay online. You’re in. The whole booking takes just under a minute.
Head to our Playtomic booking page (https://playtomic.com/clubs/the-court-glasgow) or get the Playtomic app.
Select your preferred date and time (we’re open 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm Sunday)! Confirm your booking and settle up online. Turn up. Check in. Play. Should you need to rent padel rackets or balls, simply let us know when you turn up and we’ll have you set up from the pro shop in no time.
If possible, wear indoor court shoes, but any clean non-marking gym shoes will be perfectly fine.

Beginner Padel in Moorpark
“Padel Moorpark” brought you here, and if you’ve never actually tried it before, you’re in excellent company.
If that sounds like you, here’s what you should know: padel is one of the friendliest racket sports to start having fun with from the off.
Because you serve underarm, there’s no overhead serving action to work on before you can even get a rally going. Smaller court. No chasing into back corners. Glass walls keep the ball in play rather than sailing off into the distance.

The net effect is more time actually playing the ball and less time running after it.
You don’t need to bring any gear with you either. We’ve got rackets and balls in stock to pick up at the club, so you can show up in gym shoes and gym gear and be on court playing within minutes!
Get online. Choose a time. Bring three pals. Padel is doubles, so you want four in total. If you’re hesitant about feeling like a complete beginner, don’t be.
Padel is built to be a laugh from the very beginning, and most people find themselves smiling and getting competitive within their first few rallies.
Glass walls generate wild bounces. They catch all players out, even players who’ve been at it for ages. For anyone on the hunt for a spot to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the first time you set foot on the court, The Court is that spot.

Padel Coaching and Social Play in Moorpark
Some players prefer a proper grounding to padel rather than just figuring it out as they go, and that’s precisely what our experienced coaches offer with sessions for various ability levels. For beginner, you’ll get walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the fundamentals.
It’s a much faster route to actually having fun in your games, because understanding where to be and when to come to the net makes a enormous difference in padel!
Once the basics are covered and you’re ready to move your game further, more complex sessions are available for you.
Two shots in particular separate casual players from those who really grasp padel: the bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin). There are social sessions too, where you show up on your own and get paired with other players, no need to round up a group.

If arranging four players every time feels like hard work, social sessions are a superb way to get to know people and get regular matches running. Many of our members from Moorpark first turned up to a social session on their own and now regularly get on court two or three times a week with players they met on court.
The Full Club Experience
This is almost very likely the thing that sets The Court apart from other padel venues near Moorpark.
We’re definitely not just a warehouse with courts inside! A fully serviced bar and restaurant sits just within the club, so you can have a bite and a drink either side of your game without having to drive somewhere else.

The vision was to turn an hour of padel into a whole evening out, and that’s exactly how we built the club.
And right next door there’s the Pilates studio, also on site. Padel is great for cardio and agility, while Pilates strengthens the core {strength} and flexibility that allow you play better on court and recover more quickly.

A few of our members combine the two in a single visit, and it’s a winning move. There’s a pro shop too, so if you get hooked (which almost always does happen) you can pick up your own racket without having to order one online and pray it works out right.

Our staff understand their stuff, and they’ll walk you through what works for your ability and playing style.
And then there are private events, another side of what we offer here. If you’re looking for a team-building activity, a birthday, or just a fresh idea for a night out with friends, padel is straightforward to set up around a group because the rules are straightforward and the rallies are fast.
Add the restaurant and bar to that, and you’ve got the entire evening taken care of in one venue.
A Padel Club With a Community Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
The Court doesn’t seem like a corporate gym. It’s not a hire-a-court-and-leave sort of place by any stretch.
There’s a genuine padel community here, and it’s built up naturally from the regulars who get on court regularly, the social sessions bringing new faces together, and the bar and restaurant giving everyone a excuse to hang around after the last point!
Padel devotees who’ve been playing for years sit alongside with newcomers who only began last month, and that’s the atmosphere we wanted to grow from day one.
A regular league delivers members a touch of structure and good-natured competition, while tournaments throughout the year bring together players from across Glasgow and further afield.
Winning’s not the point though.
Padel’s a social sport at heart, and some of the most memorable nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is full with folk who came for a match and stayed for the food.
If you’re searching for a padel club in Glasgow that seems like somewhere you genuinely want to be, come and judge what the community is like for yourself.
And truthfully, we suspect once you’ve felt it, you’ll want to sign up.
Padel Compared to Other Sports in Moorpark
Coming from tennis? The number one difference is without doubt the walls!
When that ball ricochets off the glass and stays in play, it transforms the whole game about how you think about shot selection.
No smashing winners into corners. Your opponent retrieves the ball off the back wall.
Padel prizes patience and placement over raw power, which is why a good number of tennis players find it refreshing but also unexpectedly tricky at first.
Squash background? The transition’s a shade more natural. You already accept walls are part of the game.
Rather than hitting into the same wall, you’re hitting across a net. The court is open above you rather than closed off on all sides. And the ball bounces differently off glass than it does off a squash court wall.
Squash players generally adapt without much trouble though, above all to the volleying at the net.
For anyone who’ve never played a racket sport in their life, padel is honestly the perfect place to start with.
Versus tennis, it’s more forgiving. Against squash, it’s more social because it’s always doubles. And compared to five-a-side football, it’s less physically punishing while still delivering a proper workout.
400 to 700 calories per hour, depending on intensity. And your knees don’t take a battering like they do on concrete.

Padel is Growing in Moorpark : Join Our Community
Not long ago, Moorpark’s padel scene hardly existed. Now it’s come a surprisingly long way.
A few years ago there was practically nowhere to have a game.
What makes The Court different is that we’re a dedicated padel club, not a side project to a golf range or a gym chain!
Every element about this place was created around racket sports, from the courts to the coaching programme to the restaurant and bar.
If you’ve tried padel somewhere else in Moorpark and you’re looking for a club that takes the sport seriously while still keeping it a good time and warm, we’d love to have you.
