If you live in Kilmarnock and you’re searching for the perfect club to play padel, The Court is the closest dedicated padel club.
Four panoramic indoor courts. A bar and restaurant. A genuine club atmosphere. The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, and it’s set up to be more than just reserving a court for an hour.
Never picked up a padel racket? No problem. Most of our first-timers are brand new to the sport. If you already play and you’re looking for better courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve created.

What is Padel?
Padel is a racket sport that blends elements of tennis and squash, played on an enclosed court around three-quarters the size of a regular tennis court.
The court is bordered by glass walls and metal fencing, and the ball can come off those walls mid-rally, which creates angles and shots you’d never have in tennis.
The serve goes underarm, every match is doubles, and games zip along, yet they’re remarkably simple to follow. People sometimes call it the best of tennis and squash combined, and truthfully, that’s a pretty fair description.
Same scoring as tennis: 15, 30, 40, game. One major difference: golden point at deuce, not advantage. A single rally resolves the point, and it keeps matches moving while bringing just enough pressure to make those tight games properly gripping.
Padel uses a solid racket rather than a strung one, so you don’t need the same precision that makes tennis so punishing for new players.
Most people get the grasp of the basics within their first half hour on court. That brief learning curve has been a driving force behind padel developing into one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players spread across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. It’s the fastest-growing racket sport in the UK, and padel in Glasgow has been out in front in Scotland!

Padel Courts Near Kilmarnock
There are four indoor panoramic padel courts at The Court, all based inside our 33,000 sq ft building on Glasgow’s south side.
Each court is full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage surrounds, all fitted to the same spec used at professional tournaments. Being fully indoors means you can play without worrying about the forecast.
Kilmarnock’s not exactly known for sunny skies, so being able to have a game year-round makes a real difference. The outdoor courts spread around the city are decent when the weather’s on your side, but that’s always a chance, and it’s one you simply don’t need to take here.
Courts are open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, so there’s loads of flexibility to fit a match into your week! The whole space was purposely designed to deliver the ultimate padel experience!
The courts are well-lit, fully ventilated, and set up to give you plenty of room around the cage.
We wanted to design somewhere that felt proper for padel, not stuff a couple of courts into whatever room was left in a warehouse or leisure centre.

How to Get Started with Padel in Kilmarnock
If you’ve just Googled “padel Kilmarnock,” odds are you’ve never actually played!
If that’s you, here’s the great news: padel is one of the friendliest racket sports to get into from the off.
Because you serve underarm, there’s no complicated serving action to work on before you can even get a rally started. Because the court is smaller than a tennis court, you don’t need to dash into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play rather than sailing off into the distance.

That all adds up to more time hitting the ball and less time chasing after it.
There’s no need to pack your own kit. We keep rackets and balls ready to rent at the club, so you can come along in sports shoes and sportswear and be on court within minutes.
Simply hop online, grab a time, and grab three pals along (padel is a doubles game, so you want four players). Nervous about feeling out of place? Don’t be.
Padel is built to be enjoyable from the very beginning, and most newcomers find themselves laughing and being competitive within their first few matches.
The glass walls create unexpected bounces that catch everyone out, even folk who’ve been playing for months. After a place to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth on day one? This is it.

Padel Lessons and Social Sessions for Kilmarnock Players
If you want a proper grounding to padel rather than just muddling it out as you go, our expert coaches run sessions for different ability levels and ages. As a beginner, you’ll get walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the rules.
Quicker route to getting the most from your sessions. Knowing where to stand and when to push up to the net changes everything in padel.
Already got the basics sorted and looking to lift your game further? There are sessions focused on more advanced shots too!
The bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin) are two that separate casual players from people who really get the game. We run social sessions too, where you can rock up on your own and get put together with local players.

It’s one of the easiest ways to meet folk and get regular matches going without having to arrange four players every single time! A good number of our members from Kilmarnock kicked off by showing up to a social session on their own and now play two or three times a week with folk they met on court!
Not Just Padel Courts
This is almost very likely the part that sets The Court apart from other padel venues near Kilmarnock.
We’re not just a box with a few courts in it. The club’s got a fully serviced restaurant and bar, so you can eat and drink either side of your match without having to drive anywhere else.

It turns an hour of padel into a full night out, and that’s just how we planned it.
On top of that, there’s a Pilates studio on site. Padel handles cardio and agility. Pilates builds the core strength and flexibility to perform better on court and bounce back faster.

Some members do both in the same visit. Solid pairing. There’s a pro shop as well, so if you get hooked (which usually does happen) you can choose your own racket without needing to buy one online and hope it turns out right.

The team will walk you through what works for your ability and playing style.
Private events are another great element of what we do here! Team building. Birthdays. A new night out with pals. Padel’s dead easy to put together for groups: simple rules, short matches.
Add in the bar and restaurant, and you’ve got the full evening sorted in one location.
Glasgow Southside’s Padel Club With a Community Feel
The Court doesn’t come across like a corporate gym. It’s not a hire-a-court-and-leave kind of place either.
There’s a genuine padel community here, and it’s built up naturally from the folk who come in week in week out, the social sessions that bring new faces together, and the reality that the restaurant and bar give everyone a excuse to linger after the last point.
Padel devotees who’ve been playing for years sit alongside with folk who only began last month, and that’s the atmosphere we wanted to cultivate from day one.
Regular league for members who want structure and good-natured competition. Tournaments throughout the year drawing players from across Glasgow and beyond.
Winning’s not everything though.
Social sport above all else. Some of the greatest nights here are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is buzzing with folk who came for a game and stayed for the dinner.
Looking for a padel club in Glasgow that comes across like somewhere you really belong isn’t always easy, but come and see what the community is like here and we reckon you’ll notice the difference.
We think you’ll want to sign up, genuinely!
How Padel Compares Against Other Sports in Kilmarnock
Tennis players tend to find that the biggest adjustment is a straightforward one: the walls.
When that ball ricochets off the glass and stays in play, it alters the whole game about how you think about shot selection.
You can’t just smash winners into the corners like you would on a tennis court, because your opponent can take the ball off the back wall.
It prizes patience and placement over raw power, which is why a lot of tennis players find padel a breath of fresh air but also surprisingly tricky at first.
Squash player? The changeover’s a shade more natural. You already appreciate walls are part of the game.
Net instead of a shared wall. Open court above you as opposed to four walls. Glass bounces differently to squash court walls. Those are the primary differences.
Squash players typically adapt pretty sharpish though, particularly to the volleying up at the net!
If you’ve never played a racket sport before, padel is truthfully the smartest place to kick off with.
It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (because it’s always doubles), and less physically gruelling than five-a-side football while still giving you a proper workout.
An hour of padel burns around 400 to 700 calories depending on how hard you push, and it won’t destroy your knees the way running on concrete does.
