If you are based in Fenwick and you’re after somewhere great to play padel, The Court is the place for you.
The Court is Glasgow’s own padel club, and it’s got four panoramic indoor courts, a restaurant and bar for food and drinks after your game, and a real club atmosphere that beats just turning up and booking a court.
Most of the players who walk through our doors have never gripped a padel racket, and that’s perfectly fine. You’ll be in very good company, because most of the people who come through our doors haven’t either. And for those of you already playing and hunting for better courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve built here.

What’s Padel About?
Take tennis, throw in a dose of squash, and play it on an enclosed court about three-quarters the size of a typical tennis court, and you’ve got padel.
The court’s wrapped by glass walls and metal fencing, and here’s the fun bit: the ball can ricochet off those walls mid-rally, creating angles and shots you’d never find in tennis!
You serve underarm, it’s always doubles, and the rallies are rapid but they’re really straightforward to keep up with! If you’ve heard padel described as the best of tennis and squash in a single sport, that’s a pretty spot-on assessment.
Scoring runs the same as tennis (15, 30, 40, game), with one notable difference: at deuce, padel uses a golden point rather than advantage. One rally settles it, which keeps matches flowing and adds a bit of pressure that makes the nail-biting games properly exciting.
It’s played with a solid racket rather than a strung one, so you don’t need the same swing that makes tennis so difficult for beginners.
Most folk get the hang of the basics within their first half hour playing. That quick learning curve has played a big part in helping padel growing into one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players spread across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. Across the UK, padel is the fastest-growing racket sport out there, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that push north of the border.

The Court’s Padel Courts Near Fenwick
There are four indoor panoramic padel courts at The Court, all sitting inside our 33,000 sq ft space on Glasgow’s south side.
The courts are full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage enclosures, built to the same spec you’d expect at professional tournaments. Because we’re fully indoors, you can be on court any time, without checking the forecast!
Fenwick isn’t exactly celebrated for wall-to-wall sunshine, so being able to get on court year-round makes a big difference. Sure, outdoor courts dotted around the city are great when the weather holds, but why roll the dice when you don’t have to?
Open 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday. 9am to 9pm Sundays. Enough room to fit a match around your schedule. The entire building was purposely fitted to deliver the finest padel experience.
You’ll find the courts are well-lit, fully ventilated, and well spaced to give you plenty of breathing room around the cage.
We could’ve wedged a few courts into a warehouse or tagged them onto a leisure centre, but that’s not what we set out to do. We wanted to put together somewhere that felt purpose-made for padel.

Padel at The Court: Do You Need Membership?
There’s something worth knowing: you don’t need to be a member to book a court at The Court.

With the Play membership at £40 per month, you’ll get 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events.

New to Padel in Fenwick?
If you’ve typed in “padel Fenwick,” you’re likely someone who hasn’t actually tried it yet.
If that’s you, here’s the best news: padel is one of the most accessible racket sports to start enjoying fast.
Serving is underarm, so you bypass that overhead action that requires so long to learn in tennis, and rallies kick off almost immediately. Because the court is smaller than a tennis court, you don’t need to run into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play rather than shooting off into the distance.

That all means more time striking the ball and less time running after it.
You don’t even need to carry any gear with you! We stock rackets and balls on hand to rent at the club, so you can come along in sports shoes and sports clothes and be on court within moments.
Simply hop online, pick a time, and gather three mates along (padel is a doubles sport, so you want four players). If you’re worried about seeming like a total beginner, don’t be.
The whole padel experience is designed for having a good time, and most players are laughing and being competitive within their first few sessions!
The glass walls throw up unpredictable bounces that catch everybody out, even players who’ve been playing for weeks. Want a place to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth straight away? This is it.

Padel Lessons and Social Sessions for Fenwick Residents
If you would like a proper intro to padel rather than just working it out as you go, our skilled coaches run sessions for every ability levels and ages. Beginners get walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the rules.
Faster route to enjoying your games. Learning where to be and when to come to the net changes your whole experience in padel.
Got the basics covered? Sessions on more complex shots will lift your game to the next level.
The bandeja (a controlled overhead shot keeping you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive spin version) are two big shots that separate casual players from players who really grasp the game! We run social sessions too, where you can turn up on your own and get grouped with local players.

Best way to meet new faces. Regular games without the hassle of organising four players every time. It’s a pattern we see all the time: members from Fenwick who showed up to a social session on their own and now play two or three times a week with folk they met right here.
Not Just Padel Courts
This is where The Court feels different from other padel venues near Fenwick.
We’re absolutely not just a shed with courts crammed in! The club has a fully serviced restaurant and bar, so you can grab food and drinks either side of your match without needing to drive somewhere else!

It turns an hour of padel into a full night out, and that’s just how we built it.
Pilates studio on site too. Padel’s brilliant for cardio and agility, and Pilates works the core {strength} and flexibility that help you perform better on court and recover sooner.

Plenty of our members do both in the a single visit. There’s a pro shop too, so if you get hooked (which tends to happen) you can pick up your own racket without having to order one online and hope it turns out right.

Our team know their rackets, and they’ll talk you through what fits your level and play style.
Private events are another popular part of what we run here! Padel makes a fantastic team-building event, birthday celebration, or just something different for a night out with friends, because the rules are simple, the rallies are fast, and it’s easy to organise around any group.
Restaurant and bar on site as well. Complete evening covered in one place.
A Padel Club With a Community Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
Something people spot early on about The Court is that it doesn’t have that corporate gym vibe, and it’s not a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place.
Proper padel community. It’s built up naturally from those who come in week after week, social sessions that bring new faces together, and a bar and restaurant that offers everyone a reason to hang around after the last point.
The atmosphere we wanted from day one was exactly this: padel devotees who’ve been playing for years rubbing shoulders with players who only picked it up last month.
For members who enjoy a bit of structure and good-natured competition, we run a regular league, and we host tournaments throughout the year that pull together players from across Glasgow and beyond.
But it’s not all about winning at The Court.
Padel’s a social sport at heart, and some of the finest nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is full with people who came for a match and stayed for the food.
For those after a padel club in Glasgow that feels like somewhere you actually want to be, we’d love you to come and see the community for yourself.
And genuinely, we think once you’ve experienced it, you’ll want to stick around.
Padel or Other Sports in Fenwick?
If you’ve got a tennis background, the main adjustment is the walls.
The ball remaining in play off the glass panels changes your entire approach about how you think about shot selection in padel.
You can’t just blast winners into the corners the way you would on a tennis court, because your opponent can play the ball off the back wall.
Padel favours patience and placement over raw power, and that’s why plenty of tennis players find it a welcome change but also surprisingly tricky to begin with.
For squash players, the transition to padel is a little more natural, because you’re already familiar with walls being part of the game.
The main differences are that you’re hitting across a net as opposed to into the same wall, the court is open above you instead of closed off on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than it does off a squash court wall.
Squash players tend to adapt without much trouble though, particularly to the volleying at the net.
And if you’ve never played a racket sport at all, padel is truthfully the perfect place to begin.
Against tennis, it’s more forgiving. Against squash, it’s more social because it’s always doubles. And compared to five-a-side football, it’s less physically demanding while still delivering a genuine workout.
400 to 700 calories per hour, depending on effort level. And your knees don’t take a pounding like they do on concrete.

Be Part of Fenwick’s Growing Padel Community
Not long ago, Fenwick’s padel scene barely existed. Now it’s come a remarkably long way.
A few years ago there was practically nowhere to get on court.
What makes The Court different is that we’re a dedicated padel club, not a bolt-on to a golf range or a gym chain.
From the courts to the coaching programme to the bar and restaurant, every element about The Court was created around racket sports.
Perhaps you’ve sampled padel somewhere else in Fenwick and you’re ready for a club that takes the sport properly without forgetting the fun and friendly feel. If so, we’d love to have you.

Play Your First Padel Game at The Court Glasgow
