The Court is Glasgow’s premier padel club, and if you are based in East Kilbride, it’s the ideal choice to play padel.
The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club and it’s one of a kind! Four panoramic indoor courts designed for the sport, a bar and restaurant for post-game food and drinks, and a club atmosphere that makes every visit feel like more than just hiring a court.
If you haven’t had a go at padel yet, you’re in good company. The majority of the folk who walk in haven’t touched one. And if you’re already playing and looking for better courts and a proper club to call home, come check out what we’ve created.

Understanding Padel
Think of a racket sport that takes the best parts of tennis and squash and plays them on an enclosed court about three-quarters the size of a typical tennis court.
The court is enclosed by glass walls and metal fencing, and because the ball can come off the glass during a rally, it produces angles and shots that you’d never see in tennis.
Underarm serve. Always doubles. Quick rallies that are straightforward to follow. Players often call it the best of tennis and squash in one sport, and honestly, that’s a remarkably fair way to put it.
Scoring matches tennis (15, 30, 40, game), but there’s a brilliant twist: at deuce, padel uses a golden point in place of advantage! One rally. Game settled. It keeps games sharp and makes tight games properly gripping.
Solid racket, not strung. So you don’t need the technique that makes tennis so punishing for beginners.
Half an hour on court and most players have the basics down. That quick learning curve is a big reason padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players in 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. Across the UK, padel is the fastest-growing racket sport around, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that charge north of the border.

The Court’s Padel Courts Near East Kilbride
Our 33,000 sq ft building on Glasgow’s south side is home to four indoor panoramic padel courts, all purpose-built for the sport.
The courts are full-sized at 20m x 10m, with glass back walls and metal cage frames, constructed to the same grade you’d see at professional tournaments! Being fully indoors means you can get a game in rain or shine.
Living in East Kilbride, you appreciate the weather isn’t always playing ball, so being able to have a game of padel year-round here makes a genuine difference. Outdoor courts are fine when the sun’s out. But that’s a chance you don’t need to take at The Court.
We’re open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, so there’s bags of flexibility to fit a match around work and family. The whole building was purposely designed to provide the ideal padel experience.
The courts are well-lit, properly ventilated, and positioned just right to give you space around the cage!
We didn’t want to cram courts into any old space was going in a warehouse or leisure centre. We wanted to design somewhere that actually felt right for padel!

Is Membership Required to Play at The Court?
No membership needed. Anyone can have a game at The Court.
Any member of the public can grab a court through Playtomic and come along for a match. Court hire runs from £28 to £40 per hour depending on the time slot, and that covers the court for all four players, so it works out at less than a tenner each for an hour of play.

Our Play membership is £40 per month and it gives you 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events!
If you like to have a game multiple times a week, the Unlimited membership at £120 per month gives you unlimited court access, 14-day priority booking, 10% off food and drink, and invitations to special events.

Padel for Beginners in East Kilbride
If you’ve just Googled “padel East Kilbride,” it’s pretty likely you’ve never actually had a game!
That’s you? Great news. Padel is one of the most accessible racket sports to start having fun with from the off.
You serve underarm, so there’s no tricky overhand serving mechanic to figure out before you can get a rally under way. The court’s smaller than a tennis court too, so you’re not racing into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play rather than flying off into the distance!

More hitting. Less chasing. Simple as that.
No stuff needed. We’ve got padel rackets and balls in stock to borrow at the club, so you can turn up in sports shoes and sports clothes and be on court playing within moments!
Jump online. Grab a time. Grab three friends. Padel is doubles, so you need four in total. There’s no need to feel nervous about coming across like a complete beginner.
The whole padel experience is designed for having a brilliant time, and most people are laughing and getting competitive within their first few games.
Glass walls produce unpredictable bounces. They catch everyone out, even players who’ve been at it for weeks. If you’re looking for a venue to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the first time you walk onto the court, search no further!

Coaching and Social Padel Close to East Kilbride
For those who’d rather have a structured grounding to padel rather than working it out on your own, our expert coaches run sessions for all ability levels. Beginner sessions teach the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), court positioning, and the rules of the game.
Knowing where to stand and when to come to the net makes a big difference in padel, and coaching is the quickest way to learn that.
Already got the basics sorted and looking to move your game further? There are sessions centred on more technical shots too!
The bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin) are two shots that set apart casual players from those who genuinely understand the game. We run social sessions too, where you can turn up on your own and get paired with fellow players.

It’s one of the simplest ways to get to know people and get regular matches going without needing to arrange four players every single time! A good number of our members from East Kilbride started out by turning up to a social session on their own and now have a game two or three times a week with people they met on court.
Not Just Padel Courts
This is probably where The Court seems most different from other padel facilities near East Kilbride.
This isn’t a unit with courts crammed in. The club has a fully serviced bar and restaurant, so you can grab food and drinks either side of your session without needing to head somewhere else.

What kicks off as an hour of padel naturally turns into a full night out, and that’s precisely how we intended it.
There’s a Pilates studio on site as well. Padel builds your cardio and agility, while Pilates develops the core {strength} and flexibility that allow you perform better on court and bounce back more quickly.

A few of our members stack the two in a single visit, and it’s a solid combination. Pro shop on site. Get hooked (it often does happen) and you can pick up your own racket without the risk of ordering online.

Staff will talk you through what works for your ability and play style.
Then there are private events, another element of what we run here. If you’re looking for a team-building event, a birthday, or just something new for a night out with colleagues, padel’s simple to set up around a group because the rules are easy to pick up and the rallies are quick.
Add in the restaurant and bar, and you’ve got the entire evening wrapped up in one location.
Padel With a Family Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
One thing players notice early on about The Court is that it doesn’t seem like a corporate gym or a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place.
Real padel community. It’s formed naturally from people who play often, social sessions that bring new faces together, and a bar and restaurant that gives everyone a excuse to linger after the last point.
The energy we wanted from day one was precisely this: padel lovers who’ve been playing for years mingling with players who only picked it up last month.
A regular league gives members a touch of structure and friendly competition, while tournaments throughout the year attract players from across Glasgow and further afield.
But honestly, it’s not purely about winning!
At its core, padel is a social sport, and some of the best nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is full with faces who came for a match and stayed for the dinner.
Finding a padel club in Glasgow that comes across like somewhere you truly want to be isn’t exactly easy, but come and see what the community is like here and we reckon you’ll feel the difference.
We think you’ll want to come back, seriously!
Padel or Other Sports in East Kilbride?
For players coming from a tennis background, the largest adjustment to padel is the walls.
When that ball comes off the glass and stays in play, it changes your entire approach about how you think about shot selection.
You can’t just hit winners into the corners the way you would on a tennis court, because your opponent can return the ball off the back wall.
Brute force takes a back seat to patience and placement, which is why tennis players frequently find padel both a breath of fresh air and surprisingly tricky at first.
Coming from squash, the transition is a bit more natural because you’re already used to walls being part of the game.
The main differences are that you hit across a net rather than into the same wall, the court is open above you rather than enclosed on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass compared to a squash court wall.
Squash players adapt quickly though. The volleying at the net comes natural.
And if you’ve never played a racket sport at all, padel is truthfully the perfect place to kick off.
It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (always doubles), and less physically gruelling than five-a-side football, but you still get a genuine workout!
An hour of padel torches somewhere between 400 and 700 calories depending on how hard you’re working, and it doesn’t destroy your knees the way running on concrete does.
