If you are based in Broadfield and you’re searching for the perfect spot to play padel, The Court is your nearest dedicated padel club.
The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club and it’s the real deal! Four panoramic indoor courts designed for the sport, a bar and restaurant for post-game food and drinks, and a club atmosphere that makes each session feel like more than just booking a court.
Never touched a padel racket? No problem. Most of the players who step through our doors haven’t. If you’ve been playing for a while and want upgraded courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve put together at The Court.

Padel 101
Take tennis, mix in a bit of squash, and play it on an enclosed court roughly three-quarters the size of a regular tennis court, and you’ve got padel.
The court’s wrapped by glass walls and metal fencing, and here’s what makes it special: the ball can come off those walls mid-rally, giving you angles and shots you’d never get in tennis!
The serve goes underarm, every game is doubles, and rallies are fast-paced, yet they’re remarkably straightforward to follow. If you’ve ever heard it described as the best of tennis and squash in a single sport, that’s a pretty accurate description.
Scoring mirrors tennis (15, 30, 40, game), but here’s a brilliant twist: at deuce, padel uses a golden point in place of advantage! That means one rally settles the game, which keeps the pace up and adds a shot of pressure to those tight points.
Solid racket, not strung. That means you don’t need the mechanics that makes tennis so tough for newcomers.
Most players learn the basics within their first half hour of play. This short learning curve is a large part of why padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million padel players across 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. Fastest-growing racket sport in the UK. Padel in Glasgow has been at the front of that movement in Scotland.

Broadfield’s Closest Padel Courts
We’ve got four indoor panoramic padel courts right here at The Court, all housed inside our 33,000 sq ft building on Glasgow’s south side!
Full-sized courts. 20m x 10m. Glass back walls, metal cage enclosures. Same grade as professional tournaments. Being fully indoors means you can get a game in whatever the weather is doing.
Broadfield’s never been known for wall-to-wall sunshine, so being able to have a game all year round? That makes a proper difference! Outdoor courts work when the sun’s out. But that’s a gamble you don’t need to take here.
From 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, there’s bags of room in the week to fit a game around work, family, and everything else. The entire space was carefully designed to give you the ultimate padel experience!
The courts are well-lit, thoroughly ventilated, and spaced just right to give you breathing room around the cage!
Built for padel. Not st\uffed into leftover warehouse or leisure centre room.

Do You Need a Membership to Play?
You don’t need to be a member to have a game at The Court.
Simply book a court through Playtomic and show up for your session. Court hire runs from £28 to £40 per hour depending on the time slot, and that covers the court for all four players, so it works out at less than a tenner each for an hour of padel.
Once you start getting on court a lot, membership earns back itself by making the whole thing cheaper and easier.

Our Play membership is £40 per month and it gets you 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events!
For those planning to play several times a week, the Unlimited membership at £120 per month provides unlimited court access, 14-day priority booking, 10% off food and drink, and invitations to special events.

Getting Started with Padel in Broadfield
“Padel Broadfield” gets typed in a lot. Most folk behind those clicks have never had a game.
If that’s you, listen: padel is one of the most accessible racket sports to start having fun with from day one!
The serve is underarm, which means there’s no overhand serving technique to figure out before you can even get a rally under way. The court is smaller than a tennis court too, so you’re not dashing into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play instead of firing off into the distance.

More rallying. Less chasing. That’s padel.
There’s no need to haul your own kit. We’ve got padel rackets and balls available to pick up at the club, so you can rock up in trainers and sports clothes and be on court within no time.
Jump online. Grab a time. Grab three mates. Padel is doubles, so you need four players. If you’re hesitant about coming across like a complete beginner, don’t be.
Before your first few matches, you’ll be smiling and into it, because that’s what the whole padel experience is set up for: having a properly great time.
Even people who’ve been playing for weeks get caught out by the surprising bounces the glass walls throw up. If you’re looking for a place to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the first time you step on the court, this is it.

Padel Coaching and Social Play in Broadfield
If you’d sooner have a proper introduction to padel instead of just muddling it out as you go, our qualified coaches run sessions for various ability level. Beginning from scratch, you’ll be walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), along with court positioning and the basics.
It’s a much shorter way to begin properly enjoying your games, because understanding where to stand and when to move to the net makes a huge difference in padel.
If you’ve got the basics down and want to take your game further, there are sessions focused on more technical shots.
The bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin) are two that separate casual players from people who really understand the game. We run social sessions too, where you can show up on your own and get grouped with local players.

It’s one of the easiest ways to meet new faces and get regular games going without having to round up four players every single time! A good number of our members from Broadfield kicked off by turning up to a social session by themselves and now have a game two or three times a week with players they met on court!
There’s More Than Padel Courts
This is probably where The Court feels most different from other padel venues dotted near Broadfield!
We’re not just a shed with a couple of courts crammed in. The club’s got a fully serviced bar and restaurant, so you can have a bite and a drink either side of your game without having to drive anywhere else.

It turns an hour of padel into a whole outing, and that’s precisely how we designed it!
There’s a Pilates studio on site as well. Padel covers cardio and agility. Pilates works the core strength and flexibility to perform better on court and recover sooner.

Quite a few of our members actually do both in the same visit! There’s a pro shop too, so if you get hooked (which often does happen) you can buy your own racket without having to order one online and pray it feels right.

Our staff can walk you through what fits your level and play style.
Private events are another great side of what we run here! Padel makes a great team-building day, birthday outing, or just something new for a night out with pals, because the rules are straightforward, the matches are short, and it’s straightforward to put together around any group.
Factor in the bar and restaurant to that, and you’ve got the full evening sorted in one venue.
A Padel Club With a Community Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
One thing folk spot early on about The Court is that it doesn’t seem like a corporate gym or a hire-a-court-and-leave type of place.
There’s a true padel community here, and it’s developed naturally from the regulars who get on court week in week out, the social sessions bringing new faces together, and the bar and restaurant giving everyone a incentive to hang around after the last point!
Experienced players mix with people who started last month. That’s the energy we wanted from day one.
There’s a regular league for members who fancy a dose of structure and friendly competition, and we host tournaments throughout the year that bring together players from across Glasgow and beyond.
Winning’s not everything though.
Padel’s a social sport at its core, and some of the greatest nights at the club are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is buzzing with folk who came for a match and stayed for the food!
For those on the hunt for a padel club in Glasgow that feels like somewhere you actually belong, we’d encourage you to come and experience the community for yourself.
We believe you’ll want to come back, seriously!
Comparing Padel and Other Sports in Broadfield
If you’ve got a tennis background, the largest adjustment is the walls.
In padel, the ball staying in play off the glass shifts absolutely everything about how you plan shot selection!
No blasting winners into corners. Your opponent plays the ball off the back wall.
It rewards patience and placement over raw power, which is why a lot of tennis players find padel a breath of fresh air but also unexpectedly tricky at first.
Coming from squash, the switch is a touch more natural because you’re already used to walls being part of the game.
The main differences are that you’re hitting across a net instead of into the same wall, the court is open above you instead of boxed in on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than it does off a squash court wall.
The good news for squash players is that the adaptation is typically pretty sharpish, most of all the volleying at the net.
And if you’ve never played a racket sport at all, padel is truthfully the best place to kick off.
It’s more forgiving than tennis, more social than squash (always doubles), and less physically demanding than five-a-side football, but you still get a solid workout!
400 to 700 calories per hour, depending on effort level. And your knees don’t take a hammering like they do on concrete.

Broadfield’s Padel Community is Growing
Broadfield’s padel scene has progressed a seriously long way, in a short time.
Not long ago, getting a game of padel in Broadfield was practically impossible.
The Court is different because it’s a dedicated padel club, not a bolt-on to a golf range or a gym chain.
Every element about this place was designed around racket sports, from the courts to the coaching programme to the restaurant and bar.
Tried padel elsewhere in Broadfield? Looking for a club that takes the sport properly but keeps it enjoyable and friendly? We’d really love to have you.
