For anyone in Bishopbriggs searching for the perfect club to play padel, The Court is right here, your closest dedicated padel club.
Four panoramic indoor courts. A bar and restaurant. A proper club atmosphere. The Court is Glasgow’s dedicated padel club, and it’s designed to feel like far beyond just reserving a court for an hour.
Not held a padel racket yet? No worries! The truth is, most of the folk who walk through our doors haven’t played before. And for those of you already hooked on padel and hunting for better courts and a proper club to call home, come and see what we’ve put together here.

A Quick Guide to Padel
Imagine a racket sport that takes the best pieces of tennis and squash and plays them on an enclosed court roughly three-quarters the size of a typical tennis court.
The court is surrounded by glass walls and metal fencing, and the ball can kick off those walls mid-rally, which opens up angles and shots you’d never get in tennis.
You serve underarm, you always play doubles, and the rallies are fast-paced but remarkably easy to follow. Folk sometimes call it the best of tennis and squash in one sport, and truthfully, that’s a remarkably fair description.
Scoring’s the same as tennis (15, 30, 40, game), but there’s one major difference: at deuce, padel uses a golden point rather than advantage. One rally. Game done. It keeps games sharp and makes tense games seriously gripping.
Solid racket, not strung. That means you don’t need the form that makes tennis so punishing for new players.
Half an hour on court and most folk have the basics sorted. That quick learning curve is a major reason padel is now one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, with over 35 million players in 150 countries according to the FIP World Padel Report 2025. It’s the fastest-growing racket sport in the UK too, and padel in Glasgow has been leading that charge in Scotland.

Padel Courts Near Bishopbriggs
We’ve got four indoor panoramic padel courts right here at The Court, all housed inside our 33,000 sq ft facility on Glasgow’s south side!
The courts are full-sized (20m x 10m) with glass back walls and metal cage enclosures, made to the same specifications you’d find at professional tournaments. Come rain or come shine, you can play, because The Court is fully indoors.
Bishopbriggs’s never been famous for wall-to-wall sunshine, so being able to get on court all year round? That makes a massive difference! There are outdoor courts around the city that are fine when the weather cooperates, but coming here means you don’t need to take that chance.
We’re open from 8am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm on Sundays, so there’s loads of flexibility to fit a game in around your routine. Every detail of the building was purposely set up to offer the best possible padel experience.
The courts are well-lit, thoroughly ventilated, and laid out to give you breathing room around the cage.
We wanted to design somewhere that felt proper for padel, not squeeze a couple of courts into whatever room was left in a warehouse or leisure centre.

Can Non-Members Play Padel at The Court?
You don’t need to be a member to have a game here.
All you have to do is reserve a court through Playtomic and turn up for a match. Court hire’s between £28 and £40 per hour depending on when you book, and that covers four players, so it’s less than a tenner each for an hour of sport.
If you’re going to come along regularly, membership makes it better value and easier.

Our Play membership is £40 per month and earns you 25% off court bookings, 10-day advance booking, and access to member sessions and events.
If you’re the type who likes to get on court multiple times a week, the Unlimited membership at £120 per month gives you unlimited court access, 14-day priority booking, 10% off food and drink, and invitations to exclusive events!

Beginning Padel in Bishopbriggs
“Padel Bishopbriggs” gets typed in a lot. Most players doing that search have never played.
That’s you? Good news. Padel is one of the easiest racket sports to begin having fun with from the off.
Because you serve underarm, there’s no awkward overhead serving mechanic to figure out before you can get a rally started! The court’s smaller than a tennis court too, so you’re not sprinting into back corners, and the glass walls keep the ball in play instead of shooting off into the distance!

All of that means more time actually playing the ball and less time chasing after it.
And there’s another bonus: you don’t need to carry any kit. We carry rackets and balls available to borrow at the club, so you can come along in gym shoes and sports clothes and be on court within no time.
Just hop online, pick a time, and gather three mates along (padel is a doubles sport, so you’ll require four players in all)! If you’re worried about feeling like a complete beginner, put that thought away!
The whole padel experience is built around having a fantastic time, and most players are laughing and getting competitive within their first few sessions.
Those glass walls create bounces that no one can fully predict, and they catch everybody out, from first-timers to folk who’ve been at it for months. You deserve a venue to play padel in Glasgow where you won’t feel out of your depth the instant you walk onto the court, and that’s exactly what we’ve put together here.

Padel Lessons and Social Sessions for Bishopbriggs Residents
If you fancy a proper grounding to padel instead of just making it up as you go, our expert coaches run sessions for various ability levels! Starting from scratch, you’ll be walked through the basic shots (forehand, backhand, volley, and the all-important lob), along with court positioning and the rules.
It’s a far faster route to actually enjoying your sessions, because knowing where to be and when to come to the net makes a enormous difference in padel!
For players who’ve got the basics down and are looking to develop your game further, there are sessions focused on more advanced shots.
Master the bandeja (a controlled overhead shot that keeps you at the net) and the vibora (a more aggressive version with spin), and you’ll start to see what separates casual players from folk who really understand the game. We run social sessions too, where you can show up on your own and get matched with nearby players.

It’s one of the quickest ways to connect with other players and get regular games going without needing to organise a group of four every time. Plenty of our members from Bishopbriggs kicked off by rocking up to a social session on their own and now play two or three times a week with friends they met on court.
Past the Padel Courts
This is likely the thing that sets The Court apart from other padel clubs near Bishopbriggs.
The Court isn’t just a box with courts inside. A fully serviced restaurant and bar sits just inside the club, so you can eat and drink either side of your session without needing to head somewhere else.

It turns an hour of padel into a whole night out, and that’s just how we planned it.
And alongside the courts there’s the Pilates studio, based on site. Padel develops the cardio and agility side, while Pilates adds the core strength and flexibility that enable you play better on court and bounce back sooner.

A few of our members stack the two in a single visit, and it’s a winning move. Then there’s the pro shop, ready for the moment you get hooked (which usually does happen), so you can pick up your own racket without gambling on an online purchase and hoping it feels right.

The team can walk you through what suits your level and play style.
Private events are another element of what we run here. Whether it’s a team-building activity, a birthday, or just a change for a night out with pals, padel is straightforward to set up around a group because the rules are easy to pick up and the matches are quick.
Add the bar and restaurant to that, and you’ve got the complete evening wrapped up in one spot!
A Padel Club With a Community Feel in Glasgow’s Southside
One thing folk spot fairly fast about The Court is it doesn’t come across like a corporate gym or a hire-a-court-and-go type of place.
There’s a genuine padel community here, and it’s formed naturally from the players who play week in week out, the social sessions bringing new faces together, and the restaurant and bar giving everyone a reason to stay after the last point!
Padel devotees who’ve been playing for years mix with people who only started last month, and that’s the energy we wanted to grow from day one.
There’s a regular league for members who like a bit of structure and friendly competition, and we host tournaments throughout the year that draw in players from across Glasgow and beyond.
But it’s not entirely about winning.
Social sport first. Some of the greatest nights here are the ones where nobody’s keeping score and the restaurant is buzzing with players who came for a game and stayed for the meal.
Finding a padel club in Glasgow that feels like somewhere you actually belong isn’t exactly easy, but come and see what the community is like here and we reckon you’ll feel the difference.
We believe you’ll want to sign up.
How Padel Compares to Other Sports Available in Bishopbriggs
Tennis convert? The number one adjustment is the walls.
In padel, the ball staying in play off the glass alters everything about shot selection.
Unlike tennis, you can’t just smash winners into the corners, because your opponent can take the ball off the back wall.
Power takes a back seat to patience and placement, which is why tennis players tend to find padel both refreshing and remarkably tricky at first.
If you’re coming from squash, the changeover is a touch more natural because you’re already used to walls being part of the game.
The key differences are that you’re hitting across a net instead of into the same wall, the court is open above you as opposed to boxed in on all sides, and the ball bounces differently off glass than it does off a squash court wall.
Squash players usually adapt without much trouble though, especially to the volleying at the net.
No racket sport background at all? Genuinely, padel is the ideal place to begin.
More forgiving than tennis. More social than squash. Less gruelling than five-a-side. Still a real workout.
An hour of padel torches somewhere between 400 and 700 calories depending on how hard you’re pushing, and it doesn’t ruin your knees the way running on concrete does.

Bishopbriggs’s Padel Community is Growing
Bishopbriggs’s padel scene has come a genuinely long way in a short time!
A few years ago there was virtually nowhere to play.
What makes The Court different is that we’re a dedicated padel club, not a bolt-on to a golf range or a gym chain!
Courts. Coaching programme. Restaurant and bar. All of it here was designed around racket sports.
Sampled padel elsewhere in Bishopbriggs? Looking for a club that takes the sport to heart but keeps it fun and warm? We’d really love to have you.
